Traynor
travels extensively, painting the landscape around him on location. His landscapes are
inspired by rural New England scenes near his studio in southern New Hampshire. Others are
inspired by traveling overseas to Ireland, Holland, Brussels, Italy, and France.
Portraits are
painted on a commissioned basis in Traynor's studio, or at the home of
the person or persons to be portrayed. Portraits are painted in any size from
head and shoulders to large, group portraits.
Still life
work is completed in Traynor's New Hampshire studio. His style is reminiscent of some 19th
century painters, and has been compared to the Dutch Masters.
